Siobhan Casey

Solicitor advocate specialising in criminal, children, family and domestic violence law. Judge First Tier Tribunal Property Chamber. “I am the founder and manager of Caseys Solicitors which was established in 1988. I deal with case work , manage the office ,our legal aid contracts and quality marks. I have had a passion and interest in the Law from about the age of 13.  I did my articles with a busy Liverpool City Centre firm and then moved to Somerset which is an area that I love. I undertake Legal Aid work in the areas of Children Law and Criminal Defence work.   This is a very rewarding area of work as you feel that you are truly helping people in times of crisis.  I come into contact with my clients at a time when they are deeply afraid, they are overwhelmed by the legal process that they suddenly find themselves in and at a time when they do not know what the future holds.   I take a pride in supporting my clients by providing accurate legal analysis and advice.  I work with my client to help them understand the situation that they are in. The Children Law work is particularly rewarding as I am able to provide realistic advice to enable people to parent their children safely which inevitably leads to good positive and happy family relationships in the long term.  I am acutely aware of the emotional trauma for people involved in these types of proceedings and aim to be supportive during those very difficult times. I have been a Solicitor since 1982.  I am on the Law Society Children Panel and have been a Court and Police Station Duty Solicitor providing legal advice and assistance and representation in criminal proceedings since 1988. I live in West Huntspill Somerset with my two daughters and our little dog Milo.”
